Uptick in passengers arriving at MYR
MYRTLE BEACH, SC (WMBF) - The Myrtle Beach International Airport experienced an increase in arriving traffic in March compared to this time last year.
In March 2014, MYR saw an eight percent uptick in arriving passengers, compared to last year's numbers. More than 69,000 passengers flew into the airport.
"The traffic levels in March are a good sign, indicating a strong spring air travel season" said Pat Apone, director of airports. "After two-months of traffic declines, directly related to severe weather in the Southeast, March passenger volumes have made-up for the lost traffic and the airport is now trending above last year's levels."
Since the new year, MYR has welcomed 136,703 passengers to the Grand Strand
