HGTC to hold Engineering Day for high school students

Horry-Georgetown Technical College will hold its annual Engineering Day, an outdoor event designed for high school students who are interested in math and science careers.

The event is open to the public. It will be held from 8 a.m. to noon April 23 in and around building 300, which is the engineering building near the center of the Conway campus.

Hundreds of high school and college students will build bridges and other structures to compete for prizes. Members of the local chapter of the American Society of Civil Engineers will judge the competition.
